Example code
In an amplification assay, waiting longer helps detect a loaded sample but also gives a target-free blank more time to trigger a false positive. This example computes when both error limits can be met, and shows how finite resource can remove every acceptable deadline.

A blank starts with zero active units; a loaded reaction starts with a Poisson count of mean four. From count , the next unit appears at rate per minute, where is resource capacity. Detection is recorded permanently once the count reaches five units. The permitted blank-positive probability is 1%, and the permitted loaded-negative probability is 5%. These are illustrative model inputs, not fitted assay performance.
- Capacities 5, 6, and 7 have no acceptable deadline. Exact rational enclosures find a time where both limits fail; monotonicity then excludes earlier and later times.
- Capacity 8 has a numerical window of 3.42371–3.48225 minutes. It includes the exactly checked witness 3.45 but no frame on the grid of 0.1-minute observations anchored at zero.
- Capacity 9 reaches that grid at 3.3 minutes. Capacity 10 satisfies the paper's full interval 3.15–3.30 minutes, checked at its relevant endpoints.
Changing capacity alters state-dependent holding times, affecting blank and loaded reactions differently. Multiplying all rates by a common factor only rescales time, so it cannot create a continuous window that was absent. The code checks that clock identity and allows individual state-rate changes through the same model interface.
The large-threshold calculation asks how many units remain unused at detection. With a fixed number of unused resource units at detection (headroom), random terminal delays remain: the limiting miss at the 1% blank boundary is 5.0274% with two unused units and 4.6395% with three. Growing reserve gives 3.9625%. These quadratures evaluate the paper's limiting laws; they are not finite-threshold certificates. A separate evaluator computes the paper's large-threshold allowances and deadlines at , explicitly using its published scalar theorem bounds.
Download the complete package, install requirements.txt, and run python example.py --output outputs; check it with python -m unittest -v. USER INPUTS exposes threshold, capacities, rates, loading, error limits, and observation spacing. The README gives Windows/POSIX setup and an example that changes threshold and loading through the reusable classes.
The package supplies exact rational witness endpoints, numerical tables, figures, source hashes, and environment metadata. Tests cover probability conservation, initial detections, an analytic one-birth case, repeated rates, clock scaling, and independent high-precision exponential evaluation. About 37% of the default loaded reactions are already positive at time zero; that mass is retained. No Lean compilation, experimental calibration, or specimen-level reliability is claimed.
